A Good Listener.

In Of Mice and Men Curley's wife confides in Lennie.  She tells him about her life before she married Curley and moved to the ranch. She also tells Lennie how she doesn't like Curley and she doesn't really want to be married to him. She tells him how she is very lonely living on the ranch, and just wants a friend.
Someone who is a good listener looks at you while you are speaking. They also don't interrupt you. They wait till you are done till ask questions or make comments. They don't make faces or give glares. Every once in  awhile they make noises or say words to acknowledge that they're listening to you.
I once confided in my friend with the boy I had a crush on, after I told her she went and dated him. I was really upset because she knew I liked him. I didn't talk to her or him for awhile. Later that year when I talked to her again she told me who she had a crush on. I handled it and didn't turn on her. I didn't go and date him or tell any one else that she liked him.
